Mali U-17 coach Jonas Komla has excluded four players from his squad ahead of the Wednesday’s trip to United Arab Emirates as part of preparations for FIFA U-17 World Cup that will take place in India.

The Young Eagles have spent the past four days in non-residential training in Bamako and will travel to Dubai before moving into India for the finals set for 6th to 29th of October this year.

Coach Kamla named a 21-man squad for the finals after pruning AS Real Bamako defender Felix Kamate.Aspire’s Sibiri Keita has also been left out as he has not recovered from a recent injury he sustained.

Amadou Daiko of AS Bakaridjan and Seybou Senou are also not part of the World Cup squad.

AS Bakarindjan midfielder Boubacar Haidara will join the team for the friendlies in the UAE.

Mohammed Toure – who was not part of the original squad – has been handed a late call-up to join the team for the World Cup.
