Katibu Mkuu wa Shirikisho la soka duniani FIFA Jerome Valcke amesimamishwa kazi kwa muda usiojulikana.
Hatua hii imechukuliwa na uongozi wa FIFA baada ya kutuhumiwa kuhusika na maswala ya ufisadi katika Shirikisho hilo.
Siku ya Alhamisi Valcke mwenye umri wa miaka 54 alituhumiwa kuhusika na mpango wa kuongeza bei ya tiketi wakati wa michuano ya kombe la dunia.
Tuhma hizi zinakuja wakati rais huyo wa Ufaransa akituhumiwa kupokea Dola Milioni 10 kutoka kwa serikali ya Afrika Kusini ili nchi hiyo kuwa mwenyeji wa michuano ya kombe la dunia mwaka 2010.
Valcke ambye amekuwa katika wadhifa huo tangu mwaka 2007 na kuwa mtu wa karibu wa rais Sepp Blatter, amekanusha madai hayo na kusema ni mbinu za kumharibia jina baada ya kuoneshia ya kuwania urais wa Shirikisho hilo.
Tuhma za ufisadi zimekuwa zikiwaumiza viongozi wa soka duniani akiwemo Blatter ambaye ameitisha uchaguzi mpya wa Shirikisho hilo mwezi Februari mwaka ujao.
Wiki hii viongozi wa mashtaka nchini Uswizi walikubali kuwasafirisha maafisa 14 wa FIFA wanaoshikiliwa kwenda kufungiliwa mashtaka ya ufisadi nchini Marekani.
