Football Kenya Federation has urged Muhoroni Youth to withdraw a legal suit they filed at Kisumu High Court challenging Kenyan Premier League’s Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee ruling against the club.

Citing FIFA, the world’s football governing body and FKF statutes, the Muhoroni based outfit were reminded that they are prohibited from taking football matters to ordinary courts.

“According to the FKF Constitution Article 67 paragraph 1 and 2 you are prohibited from taking football matters to ordinary courts and in fact you should submit to the jurisdiction of FIFA, CAF or FKF,”

“Therefore you are hereby advised to withdraw the court case that you have filed at the High Court in Kisumu,” FKF letter to the club dated 29th August reads in part.

Without any sanctions mentioned, the club has been directed to subject the case to FKF structures within seven days.

IDCC on 16th August banned Muhuroni Youth chairman for two months from accessing any stadium in the country and fined him Kshs 200, 000 for acts of hooliganism.

The club was also found guilty of engaging in violence and cumulatively, they were fined a total of one million shillings, a decision they sought too challenge at the High Court of Kenya.
