Football Kenya Federation vice president Doris Petra is among five new CECAFA Executive Members elected unopposed at Saturday’s congress in Nairobi.

The other four are Adqaani Arab Said (Somalia), Aimable Habimana (Burundi), Juneidi Basha (Ethiopia) and Wallace Karai (Tanzania).

Eight candidates had expressed interest in filling the slots but three including FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo, FERWAFA president Vincent Nzamwita and Kourecha Ali Gued from Djibouti pulled out.

The new team will be in office for a period of two years.

Former Sudan FA president Dr. Mutasim Gafar remains the head of the regional body till end of his term November 2019 even as pressure mounts on him to quit.
