FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION OF ZAMBIA(FAZ) ENGAGE CLUB OFFICIALS AT GRASSROOT IN MANGEMENT COURSES.
The Football Association Zambia (FAZ) has embarked on administration and management courses with soccer clubs around the the country which according to the indications noticed so far are well appreciated by people being trained.
The main aim of these administration and Management Courses is to empower club officials who are councillors with modern day football leadership skills to help them manage clubs well and ensure that Zambian football continues to grow, score more success and become recognisable even to the outside world. To an advantage, this happens to be the first program ever that Football Aassociation of Zambia is undertaking in all the ten provinces of Zambia in terms of tranning people by fifa instructor Rix Mweemba in the field of adminstration and Management.
The first training of this program was done in Choma town of Southern province on thursday 24th of september, 2015 and then moved on to the Eastern Part of Zambia in chipata town where they did the second traning on saturday 26th .
According to FAZ licensing Manager Erick Mwanza, these management courses will continue until all the provinces are covered in the country and except 4 muchinga nd northern province which will combine as one group and meet in kasama district. Intrestingly, the motivation for those to be trained is that the football Association of Zambia president Kalusha Bwalya has been part of the tours and his presence, confirmed from the people in the provinces that have already undergone this tranning is that it is already bringing multitudes together to cheer the most celebrated name in football arena in Zambia.
John jacob Evans a reporter from Katete district of Eastern Province told Soka25 that the football association president received a very well deserved welcome in katete district and amazingly, he managed to watch the division one football fixture between Katete Rangers and Lusaka City Council in which the host team katete won a 2-1 !.
Ultimately, it has been seen that Management has been one of the biggest challenges that most zambian clubs are facing especially at lower divisions and it is expected that with the introduction of this program, it will bring a lot of sanity in the way clubs are run which will in turn bring positive strides in the running of the most popular game in zambia.
The rest of the programme for the training As released by Mr Erick Mwanza is as follows :
3 October – FAZ National Administration & Management Course (Kasama)
6 October – FAZ National Administration & Management Course (Solwezi)
