On form Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) Football Club defender has earned praises from Uganda Cranes Head Coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojovic for his scintillating form for both club and country.
The 23 years old left back grabbed a brace in KCCA’S 2-1 win against Bright Stars in the Ugandan Premier League on Tuesday 5 – a vital triumph which widened the gab between them and second placed Vipers to 8 points with just 8 rounds of fixtures to the conclusion of the 2015/16 season.
KCCA are perched at the top of the 16-team table with 44 points followed by Vipers with 36.
Ochaya’s superb display in the tie attracted Micho’s attention, and the Serbian didn’t mince his words on his twitter post at full time.
“With all quality displays for KCCA and Cranes, garnished with goals and assists, Joseph Ochaya is the most outstanding performer in Uganda at present.”
The former Asante Kotoko man earned his first cap for Cranes in 2012, and after aturbulent period which saw him come back home to KCCA from the Ghanaian giants, he returned to the national team with a bang in 2015 and has since edged out Godfrey Walusimbi of Gor Mahia from the full back role.
Ochaya is known for his menacing runs on the left wing and pin point crosses which quite often trouble opposing defense.
