Former Gor Mahia left back Abuba Sibomana has joined APR FC on a two-year deal from Rwanda Premier League reigning champions Rayon Sports.

The 28-year-old pacey full back joined Rayon from Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia last season.

He bagged the 2016/17 RPL with the Nyanza based side during his stay; he was however dropped at the end of the season after sustaining an ankle injury.

Abuba set a blaze the Kenya’s topflight with his blistering pace and pin point crosses, that helped split stubborn defenses as they marched to the 2015 KPL title unbeaten.

He was also instrumental in K’Ogalo’s impressive run in the 2015 Kageme Cup in Tanzania where they finished runners-up.

Towards the end of the year his form dipped with grapevine ripe that he was having personal issues with his family which affected him.

Gor dropped him to create space for the arrival of fellow countryman Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza at the start of 2016.

Joining APR presents him an opportunity to play in the CAF Confederations Cup next year.
