Former AFC Leopards coach Ivan Minneart has joined Guinean top division giants Association Sportive Kaloum (A.S.K) on a one-year-deal from Mukura Victory Sports in Rwanda.

Ivan is tasked with turning around the fortunes of the staggering 13-time Guinea champions, who are currently sixth in the 14-team stable standings on twenty six points from twenty fixtures.

Horoya, who have played five matches less, tops the league with forty one points followed by Wakirya on thirty nine points from twenty outings.

A.S.K, the 1995 Confederation of African Football Cup finalists, are still a live in the 2017 Guinea Cup and Ivan will be expected to deliver a sixth title for the Conakry based side.

The club exited the 2017 CAF Champions League in the first round and their only sure ticket back to continental football next year, with the league seemingly gone, is lifting the Guinea Cup.

Ivan, Belgium-born, joined Mukura in the Rwandan topflight January after falling out with the former Kenyan Premier League champions AFC Leopards, leave Mukura a place batter in the table standings at number 11th.

The Rwandan league is already decided with Rayon Sports being crowned champions. One round of fixtures is left before the end of the 2016/17 season.
