The mother of former coach of the Nigeria’s Super Eagles,Samson Siasia has been freed by her abductors.
She regained her freedom after spending two months in the clutch of the unknown gunmen who kidnapped her from her country home in Odoni community, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The spokesman for the Bayelsa State Police Command, DSP Asinim Butswat, has confirmed her release.
Siasia had recently cried out and called on the Nigerian government to come to his assistant to rescue the mother.
It was not yet clear if ransom was paid to free her.
This was the second time Siasia’s mother got kidnapped. She suffered a similar fate in 2015 and was freed after she spent 13 days with the kidnappers.
The family was said to have paid a handsome ransom to free her then.
