Be Forward Wanderers have completed the signing of Cameroonian goalkeeper Etoga Noah Hamza on a two and half years deal.
Etoga moves from Nigeria Premier League side Sunshine Stars where he was the second choice goalkeeper and Be Forward Wanderers technical bench is hopeful that he will stir-up the team’s spirits in the remaining league matches.
Team Vice Chairperson Gift Mkandawire has told section of Malawi press that his side and the goalkeper agreed on contractual terms which will see Hamza becoming the fifth goalkeeper for a side that is determined to challenging honours in continental championships such as CAF champions league.
“We have reached a stage where the local game is becoming saturated. We feel that the foreign players can bring in certain elements that we can benefit from. We are signing Hamza as a free agent since he is not attached to any club”.
Speaking in the same regard, Coach Elia Kananji confirmed that the goalkeeper attended his second training session with the Nomands at their training grounds on Monday in a bid to start gelling with the rest of the team.
“It is easy to know if a player is good. It takes just a few touches of the ball. We have recommended to the executive committee that he should be taken on board,” Kananji said.
The Nomads recently signed Nigerians, Adekola Ayinla and Ebuka Fabian Ozochukwu, in addition to another Nigerian, Amos Bello and Japanese, Genki Nakamura.
Hamza signing also brings to five goalkeepers for the club that now has Richard Chipuwa, Peter Munthali, Nenani Juwayo en Vales who doubles as goalkeeper trainer.
