Sensational Zanaco Football Club beat Nkana Football Club 4-0 in a Barclays Cup semi-final encounter at Arthur Davies Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Nkana went into the match missing the services of talisman Walter Bwalya who saw red in the quarter final match against Kabwe Youth Sports Academy. Ronald “Sate-Sate” Kampamba started upfront with Bornwell Mwape .

Sensational Zanaco came out all guns blazing and it took them only 8 minutes to score the opener as Richard Kasonde got on the end of a corner and just put the ball into the net with a free header, poor defending from the Nkana defenders who failed to pick up Players in the 18 yard area.

Zanaco only waited for 19 minutes to add a second as Aubrey Funga scored a wonder goal from outside the area in the 27th minute. Rodrick Kabwe was substituted in the first half and was replaced by Enerst Mbewe , a sustitution that paid off as Kabwe was off form.

Saith Sakala scored in the 65th minute before Funga could glab his second of the day and Zanaco’s fourth.

Nkana missed the services of suspended Walter Bwalya . The strike force on the day was wasteful with Sate-Sate and Bornwell both squandering fantastic chances to score for the Nkana.

Sensational Zanaco now awaits the winner in the match between Power Dynamos and Zesco United.
