Leicester City are planning an audacious bid for Nigerian International striker Victor Osimhen in the Summer transfer window.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, City retain an interest in Lille striker Osimhen but fear he could be tempted by a move to Italy.

Juventus and Inter Milan are believed to have expressed interest in in signing Osimhen but Brendan Rodgers has particular interest in the young striker.

Leicester’s Premier League rivalsbChelsea, Manchester United and Everton are also in the mix.

Rodgers will have to meet Lille’s asking price of around £60million for the 21-year-old Nigeria international.

The striker is a hot property in Europe at the moment with an impressive season in the French Ligue 1 having scored 18 goals in 38 matches in all competitions.

Osimhen is being lined by Leicester to give Vardy competition and possibly replace him.
