Franco Ndawa has blamed his sacking as Nyasa Big Bullets head coach on club officials for failing to look at his performance based contract at the club.
Commenting on his dismissal the former Be Fowarders mentor insisted he performed to the contract with Presidential Cup win with TNM Super League still in progress.
“I thank the players and the supporters for the good time we had at Bullets. I signed a three-year contract and if I failed, let the contract speak for me. I won the Presidential Cup and the league is in progress. Let the people assess my performance,” Ndawa said.
His sack came after a wake of Bullets exit from Carlsberg cup after suffering a narrow 1-0 loss to Mafco with Ndawa’s three year performance contract reading that he was targeted to win at least two trophies for the club.
Bullets who are TNM Super League Champions finished the first round of the league with 25 points just seven points behind the leaders Blue Eagles FC.
However pressure from the Malawi’s football giants has made the respected Franco Ndawa insist that his dismissal wont make him leave his proffesion.
“I was born a football person and I will die in football. Likewise, I was born a soldier and I will die a soldier,” he added.
Ndawa’s was appointed as Bullets coach in February this year in an appointment that exposed flaws in Bullets’ executive with most members expressing their ignorance while others backed deputy coach Lloyd Nkhwazi.
