Zambia under – 20 Coach Beston Chambeshi has hailed his team’s scoring prowess in the last four pre U-20 Africa Cup of Nations practice matches ahead the tournament in fortnight.

Zambia has scored five goals, [albeit one own goal]  in their last four games as Chambeshi continues to fine tune the Young Chipolopolo ahead of the tournament slated for Lusaka and Ndola.

On Sunday, Zambia beat South Africa 2-1 in a friendly match played at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium.

Speaking in post-match interview with Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation’s (ZNBC) Modern Sinkala, Chambeshi said it is important for the team to continue with their impressive form in front of goal.

“It was a good game, I am happy that we won and what is important is that the team is scoring every game we play that is very good. And South Africa gave us a good game,” he said.

Meanwhile Amajita coach ‎Thabo Senong was full of admiration for Zambia.

“It was a good game Zambia gave us a good preparation, we created chances but we did not convert most of them so we need to look at that ahead of the tournament,” Senong said.

Zambia took the lead via Napsa Stars midfielder Enock Mwepu who headed in an Emmanuel Banda corner on the 27th minute, before an own goal  by Aghmat Ceres put the junior Chipolopolo on pole postion.

South Africa scored a face saver through a penalty in the second half converted by Liam Jordan on the 73rd minute.
