Zambian full back David Nkausu is among eight players released by Absa Premiership club Free State Stars.
Nkausu’s contract with Stars expires at the end of the month and the club has revealed that the defender will be not be offered a new deal.
Also departing are Angelo Kerspuy, Bokang Tlhone,Moekesti Sekola, Thabang Matuka, Nhlakanipho Ntuli, Mbuyiselo Thethani and Nyiko Tshabangu.
“They will no doubt be missed following the expiry of their contracts,” said the club.
Stars will return to training at the end of the month to prepare for new season under coach Serame Letsoaka, who joined the club in January when he replaced Giovanni Solinas.
Stars finished the season in 14th place, one place above the relegation zone ahead of Baroka FC on goal difference only.
