The Member of Parliament Makindye West,Hon. Allan Ssewanyana has condemned the alleged attack on aspiring FUFA president Mujib Kasule by goons in Mengo, Kampala.
Ssewanyana who also serves as shadow Minister of Sports in the Uganda Parliament, said the attack on the former football body vice-president was a continuation of a worrying agenda of hate and intolerance by the current FUFA office as a way of handling dissent.
“If you dont want to compete why should you waste football resources with pretence of organising fake polls.
“Fufa house has now been turned into a ware house for hummers, pangas, knives and metal bars,” reads a post on his official facebook page.
This comes even as Magogo led- faction rubbished the claims about a targeted attack on the aspirant accusing Mujib of organizing hooligans that necessitated the action to potray the incumbent as a bad person.
Mujib claims a goon on a boda boda threw a stone at his car smashing the widow on the left hand side where he was seated while on his way to Fufa offices to present his nomination papers.
Ssewanyana said that the attack on Mujib was worrying, adding that Fufa could be resorting to baleful methods to target those who have criticised the Magogo administration.
“We must advocate for smooth running of our game…..some of us eat and live football,”says the MP.
