Federation of Uganda Football Associations, FUFA has cancelled and declared the 2019/2020 Ugandan Women’s Football Leagues null and void. Thus, there will be no champion named and no relegation.
The FUFA Women Super League which was in its first season following changes introduced last year that saw the top tier rebrand to Women Super League from the Women’s Elite League, had played less than 50% of its games.
As a result the league has been cancelled and declared void.
The league consists of eight teams, downsized from 16. At the time the league was paused due to the coronavirus, most teams hadn’t played half of their games.
Meanwhile, the second division Women’s Elite League has been ended.
As a result, Isra Soccer Academy and Makerere University have been promoted to the top tier for the 2020/2021.
