FWAYO ASSIST GIVES LUSAKA DYNAMOS A POINT IN KITWE
Power Dynamos 1-1 Lusaka Dynamos
Chris Mugulu’s late equaliser gave Lusaka Dynamos a point at Arthur Davies and ensured they maintained their good start to the season that is expected to be crucial as the seasons jumps a game from mid season.
Benson Sakala gave Power Dynamos the lead in the 64th minute, turning home from close range after a very insightful free kick and Sakala couldn’t miss the open goal when the ball humbly reached for him after hitting the upright.
But Power Dynamos failed to take advantage of their supremacy, with Larry Bwalya and Alex N’gonga missing chances which could have put Power in serious command.
Power Dynamos missing Dan Kabwe on the technical Bench were tutored by assistant Anderson Phiri who was seen praying before the game. He will be frustrated that his team failed to hung on with six minutes to play before the end of the game.
Lusaka Dynamos kept Power Dynamos at arm’s length for much of the first half, although they did not create any chances of their own that could have threatened Power Dynamos that much.
Power continued to control the game after the break, dominating possession and territory almost completely, and it needed desperate work by Addy and Ochaya to prevent them from extending their advantage.
But with 6 minutes left, resilient Lusaka Dynamos pounced to snatch an equaliser.
Former Power Dynamos player, Fwayo Tembo was involved, firing in a shot that was well finger saved by Allan Chibwe and hit the post, but Chris Mugalu coudlnt have missed the rebound and perfectly placed to apply the vital touch.
Power Dynamos pushed for the winner in a bid to grab all three points, and it almost worked but Lusaka Dynamos were equal to the task.
But it was Lusaka Dynamos who almost had the last word with good interchange passeses of Cletus Chota Chama who had earlier handed over captaincy to Fwayo Tembo after the former Power Dynamos player was introduced .
It was a good return for Fwayo at Arthur Davies Stadium and Lusaka Dynamos will be happy they captured him form the Kitwe giants.
Power Dynamos remain a point above Lusaka Dynamos and still looking forward for that appeals committee case against the opponent for this encounter!
