Ethiopian Bunna skipper Gattoch Panom has extended his contract with the 2003 Premier League champions by one-year.
The 22-year-old, who joined the coffee makers in 2012,signed the contract renewal agreement with a clause that indicates the youngster can leave the club after this season.
Panom’s agent David Besha actually announced the move on thursday night ending speculations about the player’s future.
“We agreed with Bunna on a three month deal but according to Ethiopia Football Federation rules a minimum contract duration is one year.So after talks we agreed for one year extension with a clause that the player can leave the club after the season,”said David.
Panom is said to have entered into a pre-contract with a Greece based outfit with other offers coming from Israel and Tunisia.
He has produced incredible consistency in his performances, starting every Premier League game netting six times,playing an integral role in Bunna’s pursuit of silverware this season.
