Red Arrows delayed the celebrations of Zesco United on Thursday lunch time kick off and that result opened up the title hunt for both Zanaco and Green Buffaloes, the team they host on Sunday.
Arrows will look to hit some more shocks before the end of the season as they host Title Chasing Green Buffaloes, just as in many seasons Red Arrows have been influential in deciding were the title goes. They showed that on Thursday already.
Since winning 2-1 away in Chililabombwe against Konkola Blades, Red Arrows have lost twice to Nchanga and Nkana and improved in getting a draw away to Zesco United. Despite their poor run of form, they still sit on 10th and do have a chance of going ninth – but they are now looking over their shoulders as they are just two points above Nkwazi who are 11th and are playing at home to Lumwana Radiants.
Green Buffaloes have league title in their sight and some of their players may be forgiven for having the thought arch on their mind. But Bilton’s side are still to confirm second place and he will be looking to finish the league campaign on a high after seeing rivals Zesco United drop points at home and Zanaco with a date at difficult Buildcon. They will be positive this could be their year.
That’s the permutation of this game and if Green Buffaloes will be thinking of an easy encounter at Nkoloma, they will have to be clinical playing a team that has just lost twice at home and have improved tremendously with the rate of conceding goals. They have conceded 33 in 36 games just above the average of one goal per game and GBFC should be clinical to score a couple to the Air force side.
