Romania-born German national Andreas Spier is the new Football Kenya Federation ( FKF ) Technical Director.
Prior to the appointment, the 54 year old worked as the Head Coach of Romania U19 national team from 2014 to April 2016.
Spier is experienced in African football having has worked as the Coach of Rwanda Senior Women team in 2008 before taking over at APR FC youth team ( then called Intare FC) a year later.
In 2013 he ascended to the top seat at APR where he served till April 2014 when he was sent packing after being handed a five match ban for over protesting a referee decision during a league match.
Spier succeeds, Jacob “Ghost” Mulei and Patrick Naggi who have occupied the post before.
He will be tasked with championing the youth development agenda which is one of the pillars of Nick Mwendwa’s administration.
