Alexis Sanchez scored his 38th goal with the Chile national team to earn the South American Champions a point from their match with Germany.
The Arsenal striker scored on 5th minute by making a slight poke into the net with his left foot to secure his side’s a well deserved draw in Group B of Confederations Cup in Russia.
Germany levelled the matters through Lars Stindl who scored from close range in a counter attack just before half time.
Hector received the ball from the back of Chilean defenders on the left side of the area and made a well-timed cross for Stindl to complete at a short range.
In the second stanza Vargas almost doubled the lead but his left-foot shot went above the crossbar.
Germany who fielded a changed lineup almost got an equiliser as clearest chance was created by Skhrodran Mustafi, who cut into the box between two defenders and sent a shot towards the far corner only to see it well saved by Chile goalkeeper.
Both team chances of progress appear to be higher, given they have not lost any of the two matches.
