Nkana football club president Everisto Kabila has challenged coach Zeddy Saileti and his technical bench to win a treble this season.
Saileti took over from Aggrey Chiyangi who was elevated to the position of the club’s technical director earlier this year.
Kabila said during the club’s 2017 kit unveiling ceremony at Nkana Stadium on Saturday that there is need for the team to challenge for honours this season.
Nkana finished third last season with 70 points, eleven behind Champions Zanaco, while they were eliminated in the semi-final of the Barclays cup.
“My executive is committed to ensure that the team performs better this season than what we did in 2016 in order for us to get the title and the silverware.
The target this season is very simple, we need to win all the three titles, that is the Charity Shield, Barclays Cup and the League and that is how it shall be,” Kabila said.
Nkana will on April 1, play Zanaco in the semi-final of the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhovu Charity Shield at Lusaka’s Heroes Stadium.
The winner of the tie will play in the final between the winner of the second semi-final involving Zesco United and Power Dynamos.
Nkana are Zambia’s most successful league campaigners boasting of 12 league titles three better than second placed Mufulira Wanderers.
