Otto Addo has resigned as head coach of Ghana after the Black Stars crashed out of the World Cup in the Group Stage.
Ghana suffered a 2-0 defeat against Uruguay in a match that saw them miss a penalty and ultimately qualification to the last-16.
Speaking at the post match press conference, Addo says he sees his future back in Germany.
“I always said if we qualified for the World Cup I’d resign afterwards, even if we were world champions,” he said.
“My family see our future in Germany.”
“Football is beautiful, sometimes it is ugly. It is ugly for us today. We have to learn and I’m very sure we will learn from this in the future,” he said.
Ghana beat South Korea but lost to Portugal and Uruguay to finish bottom of Group H with three points.
The 47-year-old former Ghana international took over from Milovan Rajevac in February, initially as interim boss, and was given a deal until the end of December.
