By Dom Agbakpe,

Ghana have moved one place down in the latest edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola ranking released on Thursday.

Placed 51st in September, the Black Stars find themselves on 52nd on the global rankings.

This can be attributed to the cancellation of their 2019 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) double header vs the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

This has been occasioned by Sierra Leone failure to meet conditions stipulated in a letter sent by CAF on FIFA’s decision to suspend the federation due to Government interference.

On the continent level – Ghana now occupy the 7th spot.

The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia still head the table (22nd) world log sheet, the Teranga Lions of Senegal (25th) – lie second, the Super Eagles of Nigeria (44th) – occupy the third spot, the Eagles of DR Congo (46th) – sit fourth and the Atlas Lions of Morocco (50th) hold the – fifth position.

Belgium still first on the global table, having held the spot jointly with France in the last table, the latter now sit 2nd, followed by Brazil, Croatia, England, Uruguay, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark in that order.

The next edition of the ranking will be updated on November 29.
