Ghana women’s national team head coach Madam Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has resigned from her club duties with Ghana Women’s Premier League side Halifax Ladies.
The decision she said, was taken in order to enable her focus on the national team, Black Queens ahead of upcoming tournaments. Also she wants time to scout for potential players who would play for Ghana.
“I have enjoyed my tenure at Halifax, and in particular feel honoured to have been a part of such a supportive team.
“If I can be of help during this transition, please let me know. I am available to help train my replacement, and will ensure all my reports are updated before my last day of work.
“Thank you again for the opportunity to work at Halifax. I wish you all the best and look forward to staying in touch,” parts of her resignation letter read.”
Madam Mercy was reinstated as head coach of the senior women’s team after new Ghana Football Federation president Kurt Okraku declared all coaching positions vacant.
