Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Ajax Cape Town have confirmed the signing of Victor Ali Abondo from Kenya heavyweights Gor Mahia FC.

Abondo penned a two year deal with the Coach Rodģer De Sea’s side after impressing in training early this year.

“It’s a good feeling to finally sign for Ajax Cape Town. This is what I’ve always dreamt of. I consider Ajax as one of the best club’s in the PSL. Even in Kenya, people know Ajax Cape Town and rate the club highly,” Abondo was quoted on the club’s website.

The 26 year old ppromised to give his all while with the ‘Urban Warriors” to make his stay a success.

“I will work hard to make my stay here successful. I’ve worked hard on my capabilities, so it’s time for me to take the next step in my career. For me, this is a big challenge and I will give it my all.” He added.

Nicknamed “Teargas” Abondo scored 11 goals for the Kenyan champions last year as they marched to a third straight title unbeaten – he is known for his long hard shots, freekick prowess and eye for goal.

Abondo could debut for Ajax before the end of the current season if he gets his work permit in time.

Ajax are currently 10th on the PSL log with 32 points from 25 matches. Only five rounds of fixtures are remaining to the conclusion of the 2015/16 season.
