SportPesa Super 8 Leagues,the most popular grassroot football leagues in Kenya today received a shot in the arm with two more partners joining the band wagon.
At a function in Nairobi on Wednesday 13,the new partners who were extremely glad to join the success story were announced and the participating teams presented with new branded kits from league title sponsors SportPesa.
Transcend Media Group came on board with a deal worth 10M in kind geared towards providing media and communications solutions for the Leagues. This was announced by the Group Chief Executive Officer Tony Gatheca.
Protel Studios managing Sarah Mwigwi then announced a huge sponsorship contract worth 35M.
Extreme Sports the umbrella company which runs the leagues, through it’s CEO Hussein Mohamed was full praise for the new partners, calling the deals a major boost towards the youth dream in the country.
Hussein known for his passion for grassroot football and youth agenda, called on more partners to come join hands to make sure football talent is natured in this country from tender age.
He reiterated his commitment to deliver the promise of creating more football talent from the neglected grassroots.
“You can see what we done within the short period we have been in existence, I’m sure with better resources we can do even more to make sure our youths are engaged positively. In the process we nature talent and give hope the youths.” Hussein said.
The leagues include; Super 8 Premier League, Super 8 Division 1 and the Super 8 Tournament.
