Hosts Ethiopia defeated Sudan 5-4 on penalties to finish third at the ongoing Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup at the National Stadium in Addis Ababa on Saturday afternoon.
Elias Mamo gave the Walia Antelopes the lead in the57thminute but Sudan’s Walaaeldin Musa Yagoub equalized in the 82nd minute as both sides settled for a 1-1 draw at full time.
The winner of this tie would be decided on penalties without playing extra time according to the rules and regulations of the regional tournament.
