Gor extends winning streak, draws closer to the title

Gor will be crowned champions in the next matches if things go
according to plan, only maximum points in their next four matches,separates them from the crown.

The defending champion registered their 21st unbeaten match in the
Kenyan Premier league as beating City Stars 3-1 at the Nyayo
National Stadium on Saturday.

Notably absent was Gor coach
coach Frank Nuttal who was missing from the touchline as he is away to attend to his family in Scotland.

Meddie Kagere gave the league
leaders the lead in the in the 28th minute when he brilliantly headed
home a nice cross from Abouba Sibomana past Ronnie Kagunzi in City Stars goal.

Olunga completed his brace on the hour mark when he converted a
penalty which was awarded after John Amboko handled Kagere’s cross in
the box.

Former AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia striker Jimmy Bageya scored City
Stars’ consolation goal in stoppage time with a low effort keeper
Boniface Oluoch.

The win took K’ogalo’s points tally to 55 points from 21 matches
leaving second placed Ulinzi Stars on 44 points with Sofapaka third
with 41
