Sportpesa Premier League reigning champions Gor Mahia are Awendo bound via road for the their mid week fixture against host Sony Sugar FC on Wednesday.
The trip delayed and the team had to leave after lunch after the management and Coach Jose Marcelo Ferreira “Ze Maria” agreed on the type of bus to be used for the long tiring journey.
Ze Maria had earlier objected to a bus that was availed to the team, claiming it did not meet standards of comfort for his players.
“We had let the Coach know the means of transport for the match weeks back, but he took time to decide. The situation was sorted and the team is on the way to Awendo.” Acting Secretary General Ronald Ngala said.
Title chasing Gor will be going for maximum points in Awendo to keep tabs with leaders Tusker who face Thika United at Ruaraka on the same day.
