Gor Mahia head coach Steven Pollack has left the country for his native Finland, the club announced.
In a statement published on the clubs website, confirmed by K’Ogalo vice chairman Francis Wasuna, Pollack is off for a 10-day holiday
“The coach (Pollack) requested for some days off and we gave him 10 days and he will be travelling tonight to Finland,”noted Wasuna.
Barring any quarantine restrictions, Wasuna observed that Pollack is expected to return once his break is over.
“The plan is to have him (Pollack) back after 10 days but we are not sure of any quarantine programs the other end. If it happens and his 10 days are interfered with, then an extension of his stay in Finland might be necessary, “added the Vice-Chairman.
This comes even as Kenyan Premier League clubs are expected to resume training in October, pending a go ahead from the government.
