Gor Mahia midfield dynamo Collins “Gattuso” Okoth, Tusker FC creative midfielder Humphrey Mieno are among late inclusions in the initial 31 man squad for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the CECAFA Senior Challenge.
Okoth missed World Cup preliminaries against Mauritius early this month but was present for CHAN and AFCON qualifiers while Mieno is making a comeback to the national side after some break.
Others drafted in the team; Nicholas Kipkirui of FKF-PL heavyweights Zoo Kericho, Ken Maritim of Ligi Ndogo also in the league and left full back Dennis Odhiambo of KPL side Thika United.
Kipkirui, a student at Kipchimchim High School was called for CHAN 2016 qualifiers but did not feature while Maritim is earning is maiden call up.
Harambee Stars hosts Cape Verde in the first leg of the World Cup qualifiers on November 13, before proceeding for CECAFA Senior Challenge eight days later in Ethiopia.
