Gor Mahia players miss return flight to Nairobi, they will not join Harambee Stars

By Bonface Osano,
Gor Mahia players could not make it in time to Kisumu International Airport for their return flight to Nairobi after the Kenyan Premier League match against Tusker at the Moi Stadium.
Gor beat Tusker by Meddie Kagere’s lone goal in the second half. The team was to immediately return to Nairobi to allow, keeper Boniface Oluoch, Ali Abondo, Michael Olunga, Collins Okoth and Harun Shakava to connect a flight to Rwanda to join the Harambee Stars team taking part in the Memorial Cup.
However the players arrived late at the airport in turn missing the 7.30 pm flight to Nairobi despite the flight having been rescheduled with a 40 minute delay they still could not make it in time.
Kenya yesterday was held by hosts Rwanda to a 0-0  draw and they are expected to play South Susan today. Stars are using the tournament as part of preparations for the AFCON 2017 qualifiers ahead of next week against Congo.
