Kenyan premier league defending champions Gor Mahia recovered from last week upset in Tunisia at the hands of Esperance to produce a virtuoso peffomance against visitors Western Stima beating them 2-0 at the City Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Ugandan important Dan Sserunkuma and Kevin Omondi were enough to give Kogalo the three points .

The important win was described by coach Bobby Williamson as a good consolation for the players “Coming from a heavy defeat and being knocked out of the Caf champions league by Esperance i think the win today was important to help motivate the team again so that they could regain their confidence and in true spirit they did exactly that in superb fashion”Williamson told Soka25east.com

On his part his counterpart Henry Omino rued missed chances but on the same breath praised his opponents for  sublime perfomance “we played very well but missed numerous chances even though our opponents emerged victorious having played a good game they deserved the win”Omino told Soka25east.com
