2015 Nairobi Regional League Champions Gor Mahia Youth beat Football Kenya Federation Premier League side FC Talanta 1-0 in an enthralling friendly match played on Wednesday 23, at Camp Toyoyo.
The Youth team which has enjoyed fine form throughout the season just like their seniors netted the solitary goal deep into the first half through mercurial Derrick Onyango after delightful exchange of passes involving Derrick, Daniel “Alves” and Cliff Nyakeya.
Gor Mahia Youth used the build up match to gauge themselves ahead of this Sunday’s Nairobi Champions Cup finals at the same venue against Terror Squad, while Talanta is seeking to turn around their dwindling fortunes in the second tier league.
