Kagame cup finalists Gor Mahia failed to train at Jericho’s Camp Toyoyo on Tuesday morning demanding owed salaries and allowances.
The players told soka25east.com that they will not honor tomorrow’s league match against Ushuru, unless all their dues are cleared to the last coin.
“We have given our best in the field and we have been very patient with management. But not any longer, because they don’t seem to listen to our concerns. We deserve to be paid all the money owed to us, where is the CECAFA money?” One player asked.
K’Ogalo walked away with USD 20,000 for reaching CECAFA Kagame cup finals early this month and the players expected that all monies owed to them would be settled, but that was not the case and today they resorted to industrial action to pass across their grievances.
The Kenyan champions are on course to defending their crown for the third time in a row; they thrashed KCB 6-1 in their last fixture over the weekend, as they cemented top spot on the log with 49 points.
