Kenyan champions Gor Mahia FC will leave the country on Tuesday, January 12,2016 for Addis, Ethiopia to honor the invitation to play host St. George FC as they mark 80th anniversary since formation.
This was confirmed by the club’s assistant Secretary General Ronald Ngala, “We will land in Addis on Tuesday 12 ahead of the Thursday 14 fixture. It’s the only match we will play in Ethiopia unless otherwise.” Ngala said.
K’Ogalo and Sudan’s El Merreikh were invited to grace the occasion as a culmination of a year long activities celebrating the historical Ethiopian champions.
Frank Nuttall’s charges will be using the tie as part of pre season preparations ahead of KPL kick off and the CAF Champions preliminaries against CNAPS of Madagascar in February.
The 15-time league winners are currently busy in the transfer market bolstering their squad in readiness for the new season, they have thus far netted four, including; Francis Kahata, Eric Ouma, Gradus Ochieng and Amos Nondi.
