Guinea Bissau will be out to spoil Zambia’s aspirations of reaching Gabon for the 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations tournament when they clash on Saturday evening.

The Djurtus are at home for the crucial encounter hoping to bag a win in the CAF AFCON qualifier, which will also consequently revive their hopes of qualification. They hope to produce the same virtuoso perfomance that saw them dispatch Kenya’s Harambee Stars home and away to claim top spot in the group.

Coach Paulo Torres has done well with his team and will now aim at using their home advantage to consolidate top spot in Group E a sign that should worry Zambia coach Lwandamina who has his work cut out as he seeks to get a win despite the worrying trend of draws in their recent matches.

They have already collected seven points from four matches with a win edging them closer to a spot at next year’s showpiece.

In the reverse fixture the teams drew 0-0, but this weekend’s clash should have goals as both sides want to book their place at the continent’s elite tournament.

George Lwandamina’s side are under pressure to get a win and ensure they are part of the Gabon showpiece.

Chipolopolo occupy third spot in the standings with six points, equal with Congo ,but a win will then boost their chances.

However, they will hope that the Congolese succumb to a defeat against Kenya on Sunday for them to stand a better chance of qualification.

The match will be staged at Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau on Saturday. Kick-off is at 18h00.
