Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele has extended his stay with the club by signing for another season.
The Buccaneers confirmed the news on their website.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that Happy Jele has signed on the dotted line to extend his stay on board the Buccaneers ship,” the statement read.
“The captain has been rewarded with a contract extension for another season.”
Meanwhile, Jele said the decision to an extension was never an issue for him.
“This is a place I called home since I joined as a 19-year old,” said Jele as quoted by the club’s website.
“The matter of the contract has never been an issue for me because this is home. I have a very good relationship with the Chairman, the door is always open for me. If ever I have issues, I can always go to him.”
Jele, who will celebrate his 14th season as a Buccaneer when the 2020/21 season kicks off next month, continues to impress in the Black and White jersey.
This past season saw Magents record the second most minutes played behind goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands which is all testament to his professionalism.
