Kenya’s Harambee Starlets dream of maiden COTIF Women’s Football Tournament final berth was dented when they went down 2-0 to Real Betis on Wednesday.

Starlets had a bullish run to the semi-final, thrashing CF Benfica 3-0 and Espanyol 3-1 but stumbled against a more organized Betis in the penultimate round.

The Coach David Ouma’s queens will again meet Espanyol who lost to Venezuela in the third place playoff on Thursday.

Overall it has been a wonderful outing for the Starlets whose next outing will be CECAFA tournament in September before the big one, AWCON in November.
