Kenya National football team Harambee Stars lost 1-0 to Rangers fc in its only friendly match, ahead of their Monday departure to Guinea Bissau for the 2017 African cup of nation’s qualifier against the hosts.
The lone goal was scored by Kevin Odongo.

Team to leave on Monday
International players called up to the national football team Harambee Stars for the African cup of nations qualifier duty will link up with the team on Monday in Guinea Bissau.
The players include Captain Victor Mugubi Wanyama (Southampton, England) Kenya’s number one goalkeeper Arnold Origi (Lillestrom, Norway) David Owino, Jesse Were and Antony Akumu (Zesco United, Zambia) Brian Mandela (Maritzburg, South Africa) Johanna Omollo ( Antwerp, Belgium) Paul Were ( FC Kalloni, Greece) and Michael Olunga (If Djugardens, Sweden).
With the final squad set to be released on Sunday, Head coach Stanley Okumbi has revealed to soka25east.com that the local based players travelling party will include 11 to 13 players.
‘We are leaving on Monday with part of the team, as all the internationals will link up with the rest in Guinea Bissau. The total of players for this match will be 20’ confirmed Okumbi.
Kenya will be hoping for favorable results in Wednesday clash away, and in the return leg scheduled for the 27th.
The team lies 3rd in group E.
