Kenya’s Harambee Stars will take on Zambia’s Chipolopolo in an international friendly 14th November in Nairobi.

Stars were initially scheduled to face the Amavubi of Rwanda during the FIFA window on 11th November.

Nonetheless, CAF’s Saturday announcement that the Amavubi would play Ethiopia in the 2018 CHAN playoff on the same date meant the warm-up could not materialize.

Kenya last faced Zambia in 2016 in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers – losing 2-1 at Nyayo Stadium before drawing 1-1 in Ndola in the return leg.

The tie will come three days after Zambia host Cameroon in their dead rubber 2018 Russia World Cup group B qualifier in Ndola.

Stars have lost previous two friendlies against Iraq (2-1) and Thailand (1-0) putting immense pressure on coach Stanley Okumbi with fans calling for his head.

Zambia coach Wadson Nyirenda on the other hand has been molding a new generation of the Chipolopolo bubbling with young talent most of who are graduates from their celebrated U20 team.

In their last three competitive outings, they managed to beat Algeria home and away before narrowly losing to Nigeria in Uyo all in the WC qualifiers.
