Former SC Villa Jogoo midfielder Hassan Waswa came on as substitute and played for 40 minutes in Al Shorta’s 2-0 win over Erbil in the Iraq Premier League played on Tuesday 2.
The match was Waswa’s first competitive tie in Al Shorta’s jersey since joining them in January this year.
The win propelled the club to sixth on the long ahead of Sunday 7, clash with Najft FC.
Speaking to Soka25east.com Waswa was full of praise for his agent Ronnie Santos Mwinefred and the people who have helped him get his career back on track.
“I owe this opportunity to my agent Ronnie, and all the people who have stood by me thus far, I promise to make them proud. I want to help my club win trophies, and I believe I have what it takes to make it here.” Waswa said.
