Kaimu rais wa Shirikisho la soka duniani FIFA Issa Hayatoue amesema anakabidhi baadhi ya madaraka ya kuongoza soka barani Afrika.
Uamuzi wa rais huyo wa FIFA ambaye pia ni rais wa Shirikisho la soka barani Afrika CAF, unakuja kuelekea uchaguzi wa kumpata rais mpya wa FIFA mwezi ujao wa Februari.
Miongoni mwa mamlaka aliyoachia ni kuhusu kushughulikia uchaguzi ujao wa FIFA na mashirikisho mengine duniani, na sasa kazi hiyo itafanywa na manaibu wake wawili Suketu Patel ambaye ni Makamu wa kwanza wa rais na Almamy Kabele Camara makamu wa pili wa rais.
Hayatoue amechukua hatua hii ili kutoonekana kuwa na ushawishi wowote kuhusu uchaguzi wa FIFA.
Hayaoue alichukua nafasi ya urais wa FIFA baada ya Sepp Blatter kusimamishwa kazi mwezi Oktoba mwaka jana kwa tuhma za ufisadi.
Uongozi wa soka barani Afrika unatarajiwa kukutana tarehe 5 mwezi Februari kuamua ni mgombea yupi watamuunga mkono wakati wa uchaguzi wa rais mpya wa FIFA.
Mmoja wa wagombea hao Mwanamfalme wa Jordan Ali Bin Hussein amekuwa katika mataifa mbalimbali barani Afrika, kutafuta uungwaji mkono.
Wengine wanaowania ni pamoja na Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al Khalifa, Gianni Infantino, Tokyo Sexwale na Jerome Champagne.
