THE Northwestern Provincial Health Director has directed Zambian club Kansanshi Dynamos to suspend any games and training sessions until the team is engaged and cleared to continue.
This is according to Kansanshi Dynamos media.
“We have since complied to the directive and we are up to now waiting for the office of the Director of the Provincial Health to engage and clear us,” read a statement from the club.
“All players, technical staff and support staff are in self isolation and have been directed to stay home.
“We further wish to refute stories circulating on social media that the directive to self isolate is from our sponsors Kansanshi Mining PLC,”
“The club remains focused and determined to complete all it’s remaining fixtures as long the environment remains enabling.
“Kansanshi Dynamos football club will inform all it’s stakeholders accordingly on further developments regarding this matter.
Kansanshi Dynamos were involved in a 1-1 draw against Zesco United at Levy Mwanawasa in a fixture that signaled the restart of the league on 19 July, 2020.
