Little known Kenyan youngster Henry Ochieng has signed for English League Two side Leyton Orient on a two year deal.
The England club confirmed through their official website that they had reached an agreement to sign the player for his first proffesional contract in an occasion held on Friday last week.
In an interview with the club portal Ochieng expressed his feelings indicating that the contract will give him an extra movitation to push on following his recent first-team involvement.
“It is a dream come true for me to sign a professional contract, I’m buzzing,” Ochieng told the club portal.
“It has always been a dream to play for the first team at an early age. To get that first appearance under the belt was an amazing feeling,” he added.
“Over the next six months, playing and being around the first team should help me get used to the professional game and hopefully from there I can kick on”
“The season has gone really well so far all the way from pre-season and as the weeks have gone on I have developed as a player, especially being integrated into the first team and playing well in the youth team”, he remarked.
“This season has been one of my best so far and hopefully we can keep up the good run for as long as possible”
Ochieng made his debut for the first team in the Checkatede Trophy encounter aganist Brighton and Hove Albion.
A central midfielder, Ochieng is expected to play for his side next Wednesday when they participate in FA Youth Cup third round tie aganist Premier League champions Leicester City away at King Power Stadium.
Young Henry Ochieng was born in England on Nov. 11, 1998.He also once played for West Ham United junior ranks in 2011 where his talent and composure was discovered before joining the O’ where he has been for the last four years
