RED ARROWS 2-0 CAPS UNITED
COACH Honor Jamba marked his stint at Red Arrows on a high note guiding the Airmen to a 2-0 victory in an international friendly match against CAPS united of Zimbabwe at Nkoloma Stadium on a Friday afternoon.
Goals from Lubinda Mundia in each half proved the first present in welcoming Janza to Nkoloma . Red Arrows also missed a Penalty early on in the first half when Festus hit the cross bar.
The visitors held the upper hand in the second spell pushing more players in attack but Red Arrows kept their cool and managed to keep a clean sheet.
The win is a sigh of relief for the Red Arrows fans who are hoping this is a season they can hope the better fortunes come back at Nkoloma.
Red Arrows fan Joseph Mwanza who watched the game said he is pleased with the result but stated that a lot of work was needed at training.
He urged the fans to support the team.
“We scored two good goals but there were a few chances that we needed to capitalise on,” he said.
“There are good players in the team and I think we still need to reinforce . We also need to work on our ball retention and a bit on defence.
“I’m pleased with what I have seen. The aim should be top four for the team and I hope we share the same objectives with the team . The fans should not be disheartened. This is just the start of better things to follow I think.”
Red Arrows will continue their previous season training with rumours that they maybe heading out of the country for more training after the CAPS United game.
