Gor Mahia’s Ugandan import Dan Muzeyi Sserunkuma has denied being approached by AFC Leopards officials to join the den come second leg.
Sserunkuma said joining AFC Leopards could be his last option since he has a contract with Gor Mahia which he respects to the last point in their agreement papers.
He added that as much as he respects AFC Leopards by virtue of being strong heavyweights in Kenya football ,he cant break his contract to join any club since there are legal implications that can spoil his name and playing career .
Speaking at the Safaricom Kasarani stadium after their Kenya Premier League (KPL) tie against Kenya Revenue Authoroty(KRA),the pint-sized striker said he has a contract with Gor Mahia that ends in another six months or so.
“ At the moment,he added,I’m happy at Gor.Their fans including the management have been so close and dear to me to an extend that leaving them to join their arch rivals will be the highest betrayal.Even I don’t know how I can start to explain to the club management abour my departure ,”
He denied vehemently rumours that appeared in the print and social media noting that he can only consider joining any club after the expiry of his contract.
‘I don’t want to say I cant join Leopards, I can only do so when my contract with Gor expires but for now,I’m like a married woman.I cant break my marriage for somebody else otherwise I can face legal action.”he noted.
Sserunkuma who was surrounded by Gor fans after the match admitted he has been approached by several clubs including from his native Uganda but said he was comfortable with K’ogalo.
