Cameroon’s Africa Cup of Nations-winning coach Hugo Broos has threatened to quit and may tender his resignation as early as February next year when he meets the Cameroonian federation leadership in Younde.

Broos, the Belgian tactician is said to be very bitter and does not intend to accept the new eighteen month contract offered to him through a verbal agreement that was made in May for him to extend his contract upto the end of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

In an interview with a Paris based magazine,Juene Afrique,Broos says that he has been asking several times for a document to sign officially but the normalization commitee has never answered him.

“Since May nobody has ever came to my home nor summoned me to Younde to propose me sign a new contract.I have several times asked where the file is but no one answers me.

“If nothing moves,i will officially announce my departure.I cannot give you the date of my resignation but it will come very soon.I am a proffesional and i want to find out first where i am going,”said Broos in an interview published on Thursday 16th November.

Broos is also owned four months salary by the goverment though he says it is not the contributing factor to the intended resignation.

With few months before a new president of the federation is elected the much travelled coach added that he cant wait until that time.

“I cannot afford to wait until the new president is elected.Imagine that once in office he says: We dont want to work with Hugo Broos anymore.Do you understand why i am bitter?”
